We are proud to announce that 74th Street Band and Take Cover! will be musical entertainment for the BBQ Throwdown.

74th Street’s high-energy performance is unique in that they play with your audience, not to them. From the very first chord, they energize the audience. Feeding off that energy, they perpetuate the intensity and the cycle continues throughout the entire show.

Based out of Phoenix, AZ, 74th Street is a five-piece classic and southern rock band featuring a triple-threat guitar attack like no other. With a powerful, dynamic rhythm section and five-part harmony vocals, 74th Street is considered a premier cover band in the Valley of the Sun.

Performing regularly at nightclubs, festivals, weddings, corporate and private events, they are well known for their lively and energetic performance and their ability to produce a festive party atmosphere at any venue. 74th Street provides the perfect mix of music from the 1960’s to present day hits, guaranteed to keep your guests dancing and partying all night!

Formed in 2008, Take Cover! is a four piece band comprised of seasoned musicians from Mesa, Arizona. With musical roots dating back to the early 80’s Take Cover! has plenty of rock favorites to share with those who love the nostalgic hits from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and current. Frontman and lead singer Doug Guthrie belts out the rock favorites in classic style and feel while bassist and back up vocalist Brian Stewart adds harmony and rhythm. Guitarist Chad Bowman balances the front line with tight riffs and an infectious stage presence. Drummer Jay Klepinger brings the show to the forefront with high energy and a solid beat.
